Music at St Laurence
St Laurence Choir
Our small, friendly, enthusiastic choir sings at most Sunday services. Our repertoire ranges widely, from Tudor to modern and everything in between.
We practise each Friday at All Saints Lodge from 7 to 8 p.m. and before the service on Sunday.
Singers of all ages are welcome: if you can read music, so much the better – but it’s not vital.
If you’re interested in singing with us, please contact Andrew.

St Laurence Bells and Bell Ringers
The church of St Laurence has eight bells in the key of E Flat, the oldest of which dates back to 1617. Originally there were five bells in the church, later augmented to six. In 1847 two treble bells were added, making a total of eight. Today, the heaviest bell weighs 23 cwt.
There are currently six bell ringers and new recruits, both adults and children over the age of 11, are always welcome. (There is an age restriction due to the weight of the bells.) We meet on Friday evenings between 7.30-9.00pm to practice and we ring for Sunday morning service at 9.15am. We also ring for weddings when requested.
Anyone interested in joining us should contact the Ringing Master, Alison Parsons. Email: bellringers@stlaurence.co.uk .
The church tower is affiliated to the Tonbridge District of the Kent CountyAssociationof Change Ringers and more information about the association can be found at www.kcacr.org.uk. Further details about the bells of St Laurence may be found at www.kent.lovesguide.com.
